Equalizer: For best results with an external amplifier, disable the user selection so that all sliders go to their 0 dB mark. When using the internal speakers however, enable user selection and set the sliders to the following dB settings in order from the lowest frequency to the highest frequency.

1, 2, 3, 4, 3, 3, 2, 1, 1, 0

This will create a louder and better balanced sound with little or distorsion. If you set the Win98 volume control to maximum and start the Creative Labs DVD player, the volume will automatically be lowered by the DVD player to the computer's optimal volume level. From this point on, only the Fn volume control should be used.
